I stopped at Chapter 67.
Hey Sarah, I had pretty much simplified my thoughts with this blog.
I like to stay grounded. Maybe I'll be a simple man finally.
This quote really caught my imagination:
It is not that comforting but I think I am willing to start fresh.
Already I am starting fresh with the turn of 1/7/19 and the introduction to the book, Origin by Princess. I don't know the ending but I certainly like the opening quote.
All this while as I was reading it, I had narrowed down the bad guy to Winston. It is utterly a wild guess but I think based on Dan Brown's writing style, my guess Edmond purposely planned his own death.
That had been my guess since reading 1/3 of the book. It is a light reading really. Things started to picked up speed after halfway through. So I can't really tell.
It is more of me predicting Dan Brown's writing style than picking up the clues. He only started giving hints after the midpoint.
Did you read the book honey? Very interesting premise. Where do we come from and where we are going?
My 3 basic questions are who am I, what is my purpose and where am I going?
Personally the murder mystery is quite lame. That's nor the reason why I read Dan Brown's books. I like the general knowledge that comes with the stories. He knows how to lace science, art, philosophy and religion into s thriller.
Along the way I learned new vocabularies.
Let me try to finish it tonight. I'm sure Lizzie will reprimand me for staying up all night.
--------------
OK I finished reading the book without sleeping the whole night. I think Dan had mellowed much when comes to his science vs church arguments. In Angels and Demons he is more convincing.
Well, he certainly had kept pace with technology. What I enjoyed the most about the book is the quick tour of the sights that Robert Langdon went: https://langdonsworld.com/category/origin/02-chapter-1/
