While preparing the affirmative posting, I was swept away by the overwhelming desire to win.
My focus was laser sharp but my emotion is out of control. Coupled with the Up the Irons 2019 playlist, I was swept away by the tsunami of excitement.
Luckily Chester was there telling me to keep my cool. Now pairing that playlist with Relentless I was on fire.
I am ready to slay the SLIP Demons this afternoon. Lizzie was there with her usual ranting. I wasn't listening. I am too focused on the matter at had.
Today I wear my red Adidas shirt, black Adidas shorts and orange Reebok cap. I am battle ready. The battle is at 6:00 pm but I am completely dressed up since 5:00 pm. That's how serious I am about this afternoon's skirmish.
I got to win this one.
Still Chester said, "Chill Papa, this is Day One of a long line of skirmishes and battles. You got to learn to hold the excitement. The battle is a long process. You got to be able to sustain your enthusiasm Remember, it took you 15 years to defeat Iblis and 6 visits to the psychiatric ward."
"We got to play smart and hard Papa. Today is the day you press on to claim the border. It is heavily fortified. We must not crack under pressure. We do our best, we inch a bit at a time. I[t] we do a little bit better than this morning, that is already an achievement," he continued.
"Take it easy. There is no rush. We have 3 months to press on. Inch by inch we will cover our ground. The key is consistency. Timing is everything Papa," said the wise little adviser.
With that I switched from my Iron Maiden playlist to Sword 9 playlist. I now breathe deep and I relax a bit.
Come to think of it I push the skirmish to 6:30 so that I have time to compose my thoughts.
Admiral Yamamoto said, "I defeat my enemy by first defeating his confidence."
I am all brawn but no brain. The battle is up there in the mind. Not at the physical level. Alex Hutchinson mentioned in Endure that the mental strength must be supreme than physical strength. Normally the mind gives up first before the body gives in.
Water is important. The most important element to fight the escalating heat.
Huuuuuhhhhh... I am more relaxed now listening to Sword 9.
I think I sip some water and wash my morning clothes while waiting for T-0.
Let me do some visualization too; some deep breathing along the way.

I DID IT! I completed the run. I was having left kidney pain (common problem when I run) four fifth of the way. That prompted me to walk for 2 minutes. After that I got the second wind and finished with a purposeful stride.
Thanks to Chester who helped me think of nothing. Also I listened to Sword 9. Looks like for the time being my runs will have to be a Yin instead of a Yang.
It helped with the pacing. I breathe out at every alternating right foot which established the rhythm of the run.
It's a hard won battle with the brief walking towards the tail end. I still counted it as COMPLETE.
The weather is superb...
----------------------
Tonight I will continue reading Relentless while listening to Sword 9. Tomorrow morning will be a brisk walk. So no need to hype the mind for tonight.
I definitely sleep at 11.00 pm tonight since I only slept for 3 hours today.
Later honey...
